Reuben Huczmann: National Boxing Champion Again
Reuben Huczmann has once again claimed the title of National Junior Boxing Champion, adding yet another achievement to his growing list. His victory, hard-earned and resolutely achieved, is not just a personal triumph—it is the culmination of years of rigorous training and the product of a boxing family with a formidable legacy. Alongside his older brother Isaac, who has similarly excelled in the sport, Reuben has become part of a rising force in British boxing.
Training under the watchful guidance of their coach, Chris Slatcher, at City of Leicester Lightning, the Huczmann brothers have already earned multiple accolades. They have represented England, bringing their region—the East Midlands—into the spotlight of national competition. But the significance of Reuben’s latest win goes beyond this. With the 2028 Olympic Games set to include amateur boxing, the brothers stand on the precipice of something greater. The East Midlands, with a sense of quiet but firm optimism, hopes that one or both of the Huczmann brothers will represent the region—and, in turn, Team GB—at the highest levels of international competition.
Reuben’s title is a symbol of more than just a win; it is the sign of a family bound by the pursuit of excellence, and a future that promises to leave an indelible mark on the sport
