The East Midlands has once again proven to be a powerhouse in English boxing, producing new national champions after a dominant showing at the 2025 Youth England Boxing National Championships.

The region’s fighters delivered electrifying performances, showcasing skill, grit, and determination on their way to championship glory.

Leading the charge was Fluer Pearch, who claimed the title with a masterful display of precision and power. The Lion’s Den -based pugilist outclassed her opponent in the final, using sharp combinations and relentless pressure to secure a unanimous decision victory.

Joining her on the winner’s podium was TeTe Mayo, who stormed to victory. The hard-hitting East Midlands fighter left no doubt about her credentials.

It was a day to remember for the region, with multiple boxers reaching the finals and claiming silver medals Kieran Lager was very unlucky and was denied a gold by a strong opponent, Also winning sliver Gary Siggary.

The East Midlands is proud to have such talent in the region across different weight divisions. The success underlines the strength of the East Midlands boxing scene, with local gyms continuing to produce elite-level talent capable of competing on the biggest stage.

“This is just the beginning,” said Pete Robinson , the Regional President and head coach at South Derbyshire Boxing Academy. “The East Midlands has some of the best young boxers in the country, and these national titles prove that. We’re incredibly proud, but we know there’s still more to come.”

With their national crowns secured, the newly crowned champions now set their sights on even bigger goals, including potential spots on Team England and future international competitions. One thing is certain—boxing in the East Midlands is thriving, and the rest of the country is taking notice.
